Darren Devia vs Bret Ace (Race for Fame)

Wood: Welcome back to SWE and what a great match we just had from Scorpio and Lucifer

March: Completely blow the roof of the crowd here in Kansas City, Wood and what's more it was only the beginning of tonights events!

Wood: Coming up next is basically a rematch from a fortnight ago. "The Prophet" Darren Devia will take on the "Diamond Ace" Bret Ace again in this squared circle.

Suddenly the light's go off and a giant doomsday-clock appears on the IWF-tron, It slowly counts down until it reaches midnight and huge pyros are seen. Amongst the smoke appears Devia who is quickly covered with a golden pyro-shower.

Such: The following match is scheduled for one fall-and is the second match for the race-for-fame group two. Introducing first from Sydney, Australia weighing in at 260 pounds he is "The Prophet" Darren Devia.

The crowd goes up onto the foot roaring for the white-painted warrior as March and Wood continues their conversation.

March: This match is different then their last one because this match, as Ms. Such already said, actually means something. Devia is currently standing at two points in this grouping and if he wins tonight well Hex Banshee and Bret Ace can say bye-bye to their dreams of winning the IWF World Heavyweight Championship. Bret Ace must win tonight and next week if he has any hopes of stopping this wacko it which their past encounter is anything to go by that might happen.

Wood: Yes in a hard-fought match Bret Ace did manage to defeat Devia. But last week the Australian swore that he wouldn't let it happen again this week. Well win-or-lose one thing can be certain. We are in for one hell of a match tonight!

Devia doesn't spend anytime posing and immediately takes off his trench-coat as he gets to the ring and waits for his opponent.

Ladies and Gentlemen hits the PA as the crowd cheer in appreciation. The crowd starts to stir around. Bret then walks out. Smiling, he turns around, pops out is arms and BAM!. Fireworks go off behind him. He turns around asnd makes his way to the ring, slapping a few hands along the way.

Such- His challenger, weighing in at 230lbs and hailing from Toronto, Canada. This is the Diamond Ace, Brettttttt Aceeeeeeeeeeeee.

Ace gets to the ring, he looks at Devia and rolls into the ring. Bret goes strainght to the ropes and raises his hands in the air. He then walks to a corner. The ref rings the bell and the two walk forward and start a staredown.

ooc: Sorry it took me this long to post back

Devia is the first to move and he slaps Ace across the face. Ace moves a hand up to the side of his face and looked back up to Devia's face.

Wood: I don't like the look on Ace's face.

Ace then slaps Devia across his face. Devia's head moved at the motion of Ace's hand, and he slowly turned to face Ace. Ace goes to slap Devia again but the Prophet blocks it and the two engage in a fist-fight. Eventually Ace gets the upper-hand and he places, Devia in an arm-trap position but as he attempts to lift Devia for a vertical suplex, Devia blocks it and knees Ace in the abdomen. He followed this up by slamming Ace back first onto the mat.

Devia attempts a standing leg-drop, however Ace quickly rolled out of the way and back onto his feet. Ace charged up to Devia unfortunately Devia bent forward, grabbed Ace and lifted him up for a back-body drop. But in a display of great athleticism Ace rolled forward and landed on his feet. He then waited for Deva to turn around and sure as soon as he did Ace hit him with super-kick. Ace then jumped onto the ropes and attempted a springboard lionsault but Devia rolled out of the way.

Both man got up onto their feet and Ace rushed towards Devia who grabbed his arm and throw him with an arm-drag. Ace landed on his feet and when Devia rushed towards him Ace grabbed Devia's arm and hit him with his own arm-drag. Devia, like Ace, landed on his feet. Both man didn't move for a moment and just stared-down at one another.

Wood: What great athleticism here tonight between these two opponents.

March: Well you'd expect them to lift their game here tonight for the Race for Fame.

Devia then ran towards Ace looking for a clothesline, Ace however ducked under the arm jumped onto the ropes and attempted a springboard clothesline. Just as Ace looks as if he was going to hit Devia the Prophet grabbed his outstretched arm and moving his body onto Ace's so he crushed onto the mat harder, while still holding onto Ace's arm, Devia successfully countered the springboard clothesline into an armlock.

Wood: Look at this Devia has finally grounded the Diamond Ace.

Devia wrenches the arm of Bret, who is struggling and is writhing in pain. The crowd don't know who to cheer for and start a counter chant for both wrestlers. Bret is struggling to find the ropes however, he manages to muster enough stength to crawl to the ropes. Devia still has the hold locked in though. Ace is an inch away from the ropes and eventually, reaches out and grabs the bottom rope. The crowd let out a collective sigh of relief. Darren won't let go, causing more damage to the arm of Ace. 1....2........3........4 Devia just lets go, stopping the DQ. The Prophet gets up and drags the arm and body of Ace, to the centre of the ring. Darren looks at the crowd before putting one foot on the injured arm of Ace. Then, with his arms, he grabs The Diamond Ace's arms. He lifts him up and drops him hard on the canvas, hitting a CURB STOMP on the injured arm of Ace. The crowd are in awe by the move they just saw while, Devia stands tall, above Ace.

Wood- Oh my gawd!, Prophet may have just broke the arm of Bret Ace. The match must be over.

March- Holy Shit, that move was a killer. Your right, this match is done.

Devia looks over Ace, who is on the floor, holding his shoulder, which is possibly severely injured. Prophet drops on Ace, looking for the pin.1.....2......2....9 No! Bret amazingly kicks out, to the delight of many and chargrin of few. Devia is in shock and asks for a re count. .1..2.........2...9 No!. Devia looks annoyed so he gets to his feet and scurries over to the corner. Bret gets to his feet, with his arm in a sling position. He as his back turned to Devia, he turns and sees Prophet runs towards him looking for the spear however, as Devia leaps going for the spear, Bret amazingly hits a superkick right to the face of Devia. The two just drop to the canvas, too exhausted to stand up. The crowd are rocking.

Ace slowly makes his way back onto his feet at the same time that Devia crawls over to the ropes and using them to help himself up. They both turn to each other and Ace quickly hits Devia with a Skydome Ski. He then hooks Devia for the pin 1..........2.......Kick out from the Australian as all the crowd cheers as they want this match to continue.

Wood: Look at that move Ace, hit it from out of nowhere

March: Didn't help him win the match through.

But Ace had a flush of annoyance cross his face, but only for a second. He wrapped his arms around Devia's head and placed him in a Diamond Compression. Ace held Devia there for about five minutes before Devia started going limp the ref then picked up Devia's right arm and held it high in the high before letting it drop. Devia's arm hit the mat. The ref then picked it up again but this time Devia managed to stop it half-way. Half the crowd (mostly Devia supporters) cheered and the look of annoyance once again came across Ace's face. He went to put more pressure on the hold but The Prophet started elbowing at Ace's abdomen.

On the third elbow Devia managed to break free and he quickly rolled to the ropes while clutching onto his throat. Ace himself got up onto his feet and went over to Devia, knowing that if he needs to get the Prophet away from the ropes. Ace picked Devia up and placed him in a side head-lock looking for a DDT but Devia quickly grabbed onto the top rope so when Ace went down Devia stayed standing.

With the Diamond Ace down Devia looked for a standing leg-drop but Ace quickly rolled out of harms way and onto his feet. Ace then looked to hit Devia with a clothesline but the Prophet ducked under his arm and stood behind him. As soon as Ace turned Devia kicked him in the guts and executed a Destiny Death-Drop. Not going for a pin Devia instead grabbed the same arm that he had earlier placed in a arm-lock into an arm-bar. Ace is heard screaming in pain as the crowd all shouts his name to rally him and the ref asks him if he wants to surrender, Ace consistently shakes his head.

Wood: This is it Devia could win this match by submission.

March: And go on in the World Heavyweight Bracket, You realize what this means Wood.

However with the crowd support Ace doesn't tap out instead he uses all his might to roll Devia over in a pin fall predicament. The ref quickly counts but barely gets a two count as Devia kicks Ace off. The Prophet then rearranges his position while still holding onto Ace and changes his move from an arm-bar to a Triangle Choke-hold.
